Dr. Muscara uses an holistic approach to treat physical and mental illness with acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary, lifestyle and mindfulness guidance, as well as other modalities including cupping, moxibustion and massage. Conditions treated include anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, acute and chronic pain, menstrual and gynecological issues, digestive issues, headaches, post-surgical recovery, respiratory issues, allergies, and autoimmune disorders such as fibromyalgia. rn rnDr. Muscara is a licensed and national board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist. He has a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He also has a Master's Degree in Psychology from Hunter College, where he taught health psychology for a number of years.
