Dr.Pema Chen is a licensed Acupuncturist in NY and NJ. She is National Board Certified Acupuncturist by the NCCAOM. Dr.Chen received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the world-renowned Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she spent 3,500 hours and four years studying biomedical sciences and traditional chinese medicine. Dr.Chen is also one of the first in her field to complete a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine. She has completed clinical training at Beth Israel Continuum Cancer Center, where she treated patients in the Integrative Oncology Department. Dr.Chen has also completed clinical rotations at the Initiative for Women with Joint Diseases at NYU Langone Medical Center. At NYU, she had the opportunity to treat people with many debilitating illnesses, including: orthopedic damage to body structures, traumatic injuries, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative joint diseases, womens issues, a variety of pain conditions, and many other diseases.
